                  Arrive Kuala Lumpur: 2155h.
Depart Kuala Lumpur: 2355h flight MH2.
Friday 6th Oct: Arrive London 0605h (6.05 in the morning)

Please send Dad's original birth certificate or a certified photocopy (signed and sighted by a Justice of the Peace). Eighth letter...

Tessa sent us the above letter in September 1995, about four months before she was admitted to the psychiatric ward of a public hospital and diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia. She wanted my birth certificate to establish her right to reside in the United Kingdom — and thus to be able to fly there without a return ticket. Needless to say, I refused to give it to her.
